There are many examples of friendship throughout the tragedy of Julius Caesar. Some examples include, honest, loyal friends or betraying, conniving friends. Marc Antony and Caesar had truly been friends. Antony was loyal to Caesar and Caesar treated him like an equal. When Antony makes his speech at the market place for Caesar’s funeral he tells the countrymen the relationship they had. “He was my friend, faithful and just to me.” He was shocked to find Caesar dead and begins upset the countrymen with his speech about how Brutus and the other conspirators were wrong. Now they realize that they need to do something to the conspirators for taking away someone who did nothing wrong to them. Another example of friendships is between Brutus and Caesar. Brutus had always had a good relationship with Caesar. Neither of them ever had a problem with each other, but it was until the conspirators convinced him that Caesar was bad is when he planned to join in on the killing of Caesar as well. “Et tu, Brute? Then fall Caesar.” Caesar had thought Brutus had cared about him and realized that if Brutus could have gone against him and stab him, then he might as well die.

Throughout Julius Caesar, there are several examples of friendship. There are examples of goods friendships like between Marc Antony and Caesar, as well as bad relationships like the relationship between Brutus and Caesar. A good friendship usually incorporates things like honesty, care, trust, and other good traits. Marc antonym loved Caesar and was devastated when he was killed. Marc antonym even talked at Caesar’s funeral, and said great things about him. “This was the noblest Roman of them all. All the conspirators save only he, did what they did in envy of great Caesar.” As well as having good friends like Antony Caesar had some bad friendships like Brutus. Brutus would betray Caesar. Some qualities Brutus would have included betrayal, disloyalty, dishonest, and several other things. Caesar was stabbed over thirty times. The stabs weren’t the painful part; the most painful part was that a man he thought was his friend joined in his assassination. “Et tu, Brute?,” this was the line Caesar said in shock right before he died, it was the stab that hurt him the most. The tragedy Julius Caesar demonstrates both good and bad friendships throughout the play.

In Julius Caesar friendship is a common theme. Caesar and Mark Antony had a friendship before Caesar got killed. After his death Mark Antony said everyone should mourn because Caesar was great and about to be crowned but he says the opposite to Brutus and Cassisus “Had I as many eyes as thou hast wounds, Weeping as fast as they stream forth thy blood, It would become me better than to close In terms of friendship with thine enemies.” Which says its better to be close with enemies then be closer with friends.

Friendship is a major, major theme in Julius Caesar. In this story friendship goes both ways. Caesar had good friends like Marc Antony, and friends who betrayed him Brutus and Cassius. When Caesar was in the process of being murdered, he turned to Brutus and said, "Et tu Brute?" Caesar was so hurt by the betrayal of who he thought was his best friend. He would rather drop dead right there than to have Brutus give him the final blow.
After Caesar had died, Marc Antony spoke before the peasants of Rome and spoke to them about Caesar and how he did not deserve to die. Right before Antony's speech Brutus spoke about how it was appropriate for Caesar to be murdered and that he, himself would die for Rome if necessary. This is sort of hypocritical for Brutus. He killed Caesar, who, mentioned earlier in the story that he always puts Rome before his personal needs. And now Brutus kills a man who puts Rome before himself, while saying that Brutus would die for Rome as well. A friend does not betray a best friend like Brutus betrayed Caesar.

Throughout the play of Julius Caesar there are many examples of friendship. Some of these examples are of people being true trust-worthy friends, and others are of friends who betray their good friends. Caesar and Marc Antony had been very good friends. A friendship can have many different definitions, but for most it means that your there for the person in hard times and you’re their to share the good times with them as well. Marc Antony was such a good friend that he spoke at Caesar’s funeral and said many wonderful kind things about him. “This was the noble Roman of them all.” This quote shows that Antony thought the world of Caesar and he believed that Caesar would have been a good leader for Rome. A bad example of friendship in the tragedy of Julius Caesar is the friendship between Brutus and Caesar. Brutus didn’t show the qualities that a real friend would toward Caesar. He ends up betraying Caesar and stabbing him in the back. Literally. Although the stab in the back wasn’t the worst part of it all, the worst part was Caesar knowing that someone he thought was his friend betrayed him. The tragedy of Julius demonstrates friendship in many different ways.

Throughout, William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, the theme of friendship varies. Caesar has good friends and friends that in the end stab him in the back “literally”. Brutus, Decius, and all the other conspirators use friendship as a cover to there real plan to kill Caesar. Caesar was blinded by there evil due to friendship. The most important part is trust, which Caesar fully engages in with his friends, enough so that he never saw his planed death coming. Caesar was not able to foresee his true faithful friends, such as Antony. He would grieve the killing of Julius and try to justify his murder by killing Brutus and Cassius. Antony was one of Julius's true and trustworthy friends. Antony, who was Caesar's true friend in all of the conspiracy, would gain Brutus's trust only to betray him and justify Julius's murder. All of these men would be fooled or betrayed by the manipulation of trust and friendship.

In the Tragedy of Julius Caesar, there are many examples of friendship. There is honesty, loyalty, and betrayal. Mark Antony is an example of a loyal friend of Caesar. Antony would never, disobey, or go against Caesar. After Caesar was killed, Antony was determined to get revenge for those who took the life of his dear friend. Unlike Brutus, for example, who claimed to be Caesar's loyal and honest friend betrayed him. Brutus decided to kill his Caesar, who he claimed to be ambitious- when clearly he was not. Brutus betrayed Caesar; he should have not believed that Caesar would destroy Rome. He should have told Caesar not to be a tyrant if he became leader of Rome. If Brutus claims he was Caesar's friend, then he is a hypocrite. Antony is the true loyal and honest friend of Caesar in this tragedy, not Brutus. Caesar should have kept his guard up on who was really his friend or enemy.

Friendship is perhaps the most important theme in Julius Caesar because the plot of the play is built on who is friends with who, but also who thinks they are friends with who. For example, Caesar thought he was friends with Brutus but it turned out that Brutus was a part of the conspiracy that assassinated him. Although Brutus assassinated Caesar they were still friends and the play wouldn't have any drama without their friendship. When Caesar says "Et tu, Brute?" it shows that Caesar didn't suspect an assassination, much less one of his closest friends. Another friendship that played a crucial role was the friendship between Antony and Caesar. Antony is loyal to Caesar and although he tells Brutus that he will not criticize him for assassinating Caesar, he does anyway. "That I did love thee, Caesar, O, 'tis true!... Had I as many eyes as thou hast wounds, weeping as fast as they stream forth thy blood, it would become me better than to close in terms of friendship with thine enemies." Antony's loyalty and friendship with Caesar is significant to the plot of the play.

In the play, Julius Caesar there is several examples of friendship. One example throughout the play is, when Antony is talking to Caesar and says “Fear him not, Caesar, he’s not dangerous; he is a noble Roman, and well given.” In this quote, Antony is telling Caesar that he should not be afraid of Cassius. Also, he is a good man and is a noble person. Another example of friendship throughout the play is, when Cassius says,” Caesar doth bear me hard, but he loves Brutus.” This quote shows that Caesar had felt that he possessed a close friendship with Brutus. This friendship that he believed to hold with Brutus made his betrayal all the more painful and the more difficult to except. These are some of the many examples of friendship throughout the play, Julius Caesar.

There are many different examples of friendship in Julius Caesar. One example throughout the play I had noticed to be very obvious was Caesar’s feeling that Brutus was a true friend to him, and that Brutus would always remain loyal to Caesar. Unfortunately, as we all know, that was not the case, and Brutus was greatly involved in Caesar’s murder. This was the most painful part of Caesar’s death for him. The 32 previous stab wounds that had been suffering from were nothing compared to the pain of Brutus’ injury that he had inflicted upon Caesar. Not only did he wound his body, but his heart was smashed with that stroke. An example from the book is during Mark Antony’s speech. During that speech he showed that he was a true friend to Caesar and he showed real loyalty. It was with that speech that he was able to grab the people’s hearts and bring revenge to the conspirator’s houses in the name of Caesar.

In Caesar one could see many times when characters show their friendship towards one another. The show themselves as being trustworthy and compassionate to their friend. One such instance is when Antony speaks at Caesar’s funeral. He says great things about his fallen friend and things that will not be forgotten. Antony was a true friend to Caesar by that they had a trusting relationship with each other that nothing would break. Another case of friendship although for the wrong reason could be when they plot to kill Caesar. Brutus knows the men and can trust them to fulfill the deed that must be done. He is their friend enough by not letting them have to take an oath. Brutus was a friend to Caesar but that would not last from his betrayal. He would go to kill his so-called friend without any second thought.

Friendship is extremely prevalent in Julius Caesar. Both strong and weak relationships between friends are included in the play. Mark Anthony was a very loyal and trustworthy friend of Caesar, who even after his death talked kindly about him. “He hath brought many captives home to Rome, Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill.” In Antony’s speech he describes some of the good deeds of Caesar. Antony will not go against the conspiracy, but will not talk bad about his friend either. He will stay loyal to Caesar and even weeps when they bring the dead body out. He was a true friend. This was certainly untrue about other people close to Caesar. Julius Caesar thought Brutus and Decius were both true and honorable friends, but they both turned against him. They joined the conspiracy and helped with the assassination of Caesar. Their friendship with Caesar much looked like Antony’s, but the truth was they were totally different. Friendship was large theme that was greatly and largely used by Shakespeare in his play, Julius Caesar.

Another example is that Caesar thinking that Brutus was a true friend to him and Brutus had him thinking that. But in the end we know that Brutus is actually responsible for Caesars death. These are just a few examples of friendship through out Julius Caesar. Some friendship as you can see if not for the right reason.

There are many examples of friendship throughout Julius Caesar. An example of a good friendship is the one between Caesar and Antony. Antony really looks up to Caesar and admires him. He would do anything for him. Antony was a good friend. He was loyal and trustworthy. He was devastated when Caesar was stabbed. He spoke at Caesar's funeral, and rallied the commoners against the "honorable men" who committed this atrocity, the "honorable men" being Brutus, Cassius, Casca and the other conspirators. At the funeral Antony said that Brutus “was the noblest Roman of them all. All the conspirators save only he, did what they did in envy of great Caesar.” This proves that Antony was extremely devastated about Caesar's death. Antony also offered to read Caesar's will to the commoners, which is probably what Caesar wanted. This shows the commoners how much Caesar cared about them and about Rome.

Throughout the play Julius Caesar, Friendship plays a key role. Shakespere portrays the good and the bad friendships. The good friendship is between Marc Antony and Caesar, and the bad friendship is between Brutus and Caesar. Caesar really trusted Brutus. he let him get really close to him but when it all came down to it Brutus betray Caesar. Caesar thought they were good friends and when Brutus stabbed Caesar, Caesar was stunned. he said "Et Tu Brute?"That final blow hurt Caesar more emotionally that physically. He must have felt Nieve when he saw that he let someone close to him but then they killed him.
Marc Antony Was an example of a good friendship. He was treated well by Caesar, and he treated Caesar equally as well. Friendship is a key role in "Julieus Caesar"

Friendship is one of the most valuable things in life. William Shakespeare symbolizes friendship a lot in Caesar. For example, Caesar thinks that Brutus was one of his closest friends when actually he is one of the conspirators against him and is plotting his assassination. Brutus claims to be Caesars friend and says the only reason he is going to kill him is because he loves Rome and believes Caesar will become a bloodthirsty tyrant. In the end when they finally kill Caesar, he finds out that Brutus was a part of the conspiracy. Then he says “Et tu Brute”. This shows that Caesar was more upset that his friend or someone he believed was his friend would turn against him.

In William Shakespeare's tragedy Julius Caesar, friendship is an outstanding theme. One of Caesar's friends Mark Antony was basically one of the only people who stayed true to Caesar through the end. When Mark Antony makes his speech at Caesar’s funeral he tells the commoners the relationship they had. “He was my friend, faithful and just to me.” He was shocked to find his dear friend Caesar dead, and begins to upset the commoners with his speech about how mainly Brutus and the other conspirators were wrong. Another important instance of companionship is between Brutus and Caesar. Brutus had always had a good relationship with Caesar. Neither of them ever had a conflict with each other, but it was until the conspirators convinced him that Caesar was a tyrant is when he planned to join in on the killing of Caesar as well. “Et tu, Brute? Then fall Caesar.” Caesar had thought Brutus cared about him and realized that if Brutus could have gone against him and stab him, then he might as well perish. He was in such shhock of betrayal that he would have rather died then know his close friend betrayed him.

Friendship was very significant theme in the play Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. Throughout the beginning of the play Caesar belives that Brutus is one of his friends and that he would never do anything to him. But then Brutus joins the conspiracy adn back stabs Caesar. This event shows how important it is to know who your friends are and if they can be trusted. Marc Antony was Caesar's friend and this proved true throughout the play because Antony was always around caesar trying to do anything for him and to protect him. Marc Antony's friendship with Caesar is also important because after Caesar is killed Antony does whatever he can to revenge Caesar's death and kill the conspirators who brutally assassinated Caesar.

Marc Antony and Caesar had a good friendship because at Caesars funeral Marc Antony spoke and said "This was the noblest Roman of them all. All the conspirators save only he, did what they did in envy of great Caesar." Marc Antony as you can tell very much respected Caesar and thought very highly of him. Another friendship was between Brutus and Caesar which i wouldnt necessarily say was a good friendship, Brutus killed Caesar because of jealousy and because noone "liked" caesar. The thing about friendships is they aretn always good ones, sometimes friendships come across jealousy, dishonesty, and even where they betray one another. Becareful who you choose as friends. You wouldnt wasn your friend to kill you, like Brutus did Caesar.

Caesar and Antony got along well and Antony does not betray Caesar like Brutus. Antony was overwhelmed with grief when Caesar was killed and said kind things about him at his funeral. Brutus on the other hand was involved with Caesars killing and planned his death. Caesar was shocked to fin out that Brutus was one of the people to betray him. “Et tu, Brute?” is what Caesar said after Brutus stabbed him. The stab from Brutus hurt Caesar the most because Caesar really cared about Brutus and he thought that they were friends, which shows that the people you trust most or your good friends could be your enemies.

In Julias Ceasar, there are many strong examples of friendship. Brutus and Ceasar were on good terms untill the consperiators convinced Brutus to assist in killing Ceasar. It shows how a friendship can suddenly end. Brutus felt that his cause was stronger than his friendship with Ceasar. Another example of friendship in Julias Ceasar is the one between Marc Antony. Marc's love for friendship was portreyd in his speach he wrote for Ceasar at his funeral. Julias Ceasar is filled with friendships weather they are good or bad, or diceiving. Ceasar was shocked and hurt by Brutus. Brutus must have felt extremly strong about the consperacy because Ceasar was his friend and it takes alot to intentially hurt a friend. Ceasar would have rather died than have to live with the fact that his best friend would have done such a thing.
